How Our Pool Construction Process Works
Building a custom pool in Central Florida should be exciting — not overwhelming. At Bowles Custom Pools, we walk you through every step with clear communication, quality craftsmanship, and no surprises.

Here’s how it all comes together:
Bring your vision to life in 3D.
Our expert designers work with you to create a pool that fits your lifestyle and budget. You’ll preview your design in realistic 3D and choose your favorite finishes—tile, decking, and interior surfaces.

Getting the groundwork ready.
Once permits are approved, we prep your property, cap irrigation lines, and clear the area for excavation

Mapping your future pool.
Our crew marks out the shape and elevation of your pool using form boards and stakes—this is when your backyard starts to transform.

Dig day!
Heavy equipment digs and shapes your pool to the exact specs. Kids love watching this step—it’s where the fun really begins.

The hidden infrastructure.
We install essential underground lines like main drains and in-floor cleaning systems (if included in your package) before the steel is added.

Strength from the inside out.
Rebar and mesh are shaped and tied into place to form the structure of your pool. Light fixtures and bonding systems are installed here too.

Watch your pool take shape.
Our crew sprays high-pressure gunite to form your pool shell, sculpting stairs, ledges, and benches by hand. It’s one of the most satisfying stages to see.

Prepping for the next phase.
We clean up the site, remove excess materials, backfill around the shell, and grade the area for the upcoming deck installation.

Connect and power up.
Trenches are dug for electrical and plumbing lines. We install pumps, filters, and heaters, then pressure test everything and schedule inspections.

The finishing touches take shape.
Your selected waterline tile and raised elements are installed, followed by coping stones that edge the pool—adding a polished, elegant look.

Choose your style.
Whether you're installing a cantilever concrete deck or elegant travertine pavers, we handle termite treatment, formwork, and inspections before pouring or laying materials.
- Acrylic Decks: Knock-down texture and two coats of acrylic paint.
- Paver/Travertine Decks: Set on crushed concrete with sand finish.

Powering your pool.
Our licensed electricians hook up lighting, pumps, automation, and heating systems. You may be contacted to coordinate access to panels or attic space.

Peace of mind, built in.
We install your screen enclosure, super gutters, and downspouts. To meet child safety code compliance, we also add fences, alarms, or safety covers as required.

Getting it ready for the finish.
We remove debris, clean the site, and prep the pool interior for the final application.

The last layer.
Your selected interior finish (quartz or pebble) is applied. Quartz is completed in one day; pebble finishes require a second day to acid wash and expose texture. Once applied, the pool is filled with water to cure.

We don’t just build it—we teach you how to use it.
Our technician starts the equipment, adds chemicals, and walks you through Pool School so you know how to operate and care for your new pool.

Time to dive in.
We schedule final inspections with the city or county, ensuring everything passes code. Once approved, it’s time to enjoy your new pool!
